Nine Lessons with Carols is a century-old practice first celebrated at King's College, Cambridge. It pairs scripture with music,
to reflect on the season of Advent. These nine original poems were commissioned by Duquesne University for Advent 2014, to as a new
celebration of the historical practice.
These Lessons explore a dialogue between humanity and its longed-for creator. They
mirror the nine months of a pregnancy, contemplating how we are to bring God into the world.
